The Motorola RAZR is claimed as the world’s thinnest smartphone, which has got all the high end specifications and an up-to-date hardware under the hood. It will be available for pre-order from October 27th with a price tag of $299.99. The phone will be available sometime in November. It will be powered by OMAP 4430 chipset with a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread & 1GB of RAM, sporting a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD display with Gorilla Glass coating delivering 540 X 960 pixels of resolution, equipped with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 1080p HD video recording capability, an additional front facing 2 megapixel camera to make 720p video calls,16GB of internal flash, and an included 16GB microSD card with support for memory expansion up to 32GB via microSD cards, 1780mAh battery to provide 12.5 hours of talk time, 8.9 hours if video playback, Webtop accessories support with the new Lapdock, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, DLNA functionality, Wi-Fi Hotspot, LTE connectivity, 3.5mm headset jack, Android Market, a whole host of Google & the carrier services and all the regular features of an Android phone.
Motorola claims the Droid RAZR will be the first smartphone that will be able to access Netflix in high-definition and it comes pre-installed with new app called MotoCast, which lets the users to stream or download the pictures, music and more from PC to DROID RAZR witht the help of a new feature called “personal cloud”. Another preinstalled app called Smart Actions lets you optimize your battery life by creating various power-saving rules like ramping-down the processor when the battery drops below a certain level; disabling GPS reception.
